Tips for Preserving Your Classics

Use a bookmark (don’t dog-ear)

Cradle the book when you read.

Don’t flatten the spine on a hard surface.

Avoid direct sunlight or bright fluorescents, especially along the spine.

Avoid excessive heat or humidity (ideal: 70*F & 50% relative humidity)

Remove books by holding onto the middle of the spine (don’t pull from the top).

Don’t store books in plastic.
